Why NLU for Liberal Arts
In 1886, NLU was created as a learning institution with the ultimate goal of helping others and supporting communities so they could grow and prosper. Today NLU continues to carry out its original mission by developing programs that are designed to help students succeed in getting their bachelor’s degrees. NLU's Liberal Arts program offers students the opportunity to study what interests them most, in convenient on-campus and blended online formats.
We Make it Convenient to Earn Your Degree
NLU recognizes many students are balancing work and family while in school, so courses are scheduled to accommodate those important commitments. Career Outlook
Statistics from the Federal Government and private organizations indicate that people who major in liberal arts often do well in the job market. Liberal arts students' employment and earnings have increased over time, and more liberal arts graduates are reporting employment that relates to their degree.1 Those who study liberal arts can pursue a range of careers, including marketing, advertising, journalism, education and customer service, as well as graduate study in any major and minor areas. Most entry-level positions require people who can learn quickly and solve problems—skills in which liberal arts students often excel.
Additional Program Requirements
Upper level hours must total 25 quarter hours. For a double minor, each minor must have a minimum of 10 quarter hours of upper- level credit.
