Amazon Career Choice at NLU: Pathways

National Louis University has partnered with the Amazon Career Choice Pathways to offer short-term certificate pathways for current Amazon associates to build relevant, job-specific skills to help them advance in their careers or start new jobs. These programs are fully funded for Amazon associates through the Career Choice program.

• Medical Assistant: The Accelerate U Medical Assistant training pathway at National Louis University is a mostly online certificate program that will prepare you to work as a Medical Assistant, aiding doctors, nurses, and patients in healthcare facilities. Based at our Chicago Campus, the seven-month program includes online, highly supportive training (led by an instructor and a coach), monthly in-person 8-10 person "Skills Labs" where learners practice their hands-on clinical skills, National Healthcareer Associate (NHA) certification, and a 160-hour, four—to six-week field-based externship with an AU employer partner. Amazon participants will likely be placed in an externship with NLU regional employer partner Advocate Health at clinics near their facility of employment. Amazon learners will begin the program in January 2026 and complete their externship in July/August 2026.
   
• Learn and Earn in Three: This innovative program allows students to work full-time while earning a Bachelor’s degree in just 2.5–3 years—with 25% of coursework completed on the job. LE3 is designed to help students gain career-advancing skills with little to no debt. Students will earn a B.S. in Organizational Leadership and Development and learn real-world skills needed to lead themselves and others, solve complex challenges, and drive meaningful change—whether in the workplace, community or beyond.
