Faces of NLU: Luan Nyugen

Hailing from Tuy Hoa, Vietnam, Luan brings a wealth of international perspective and ambition to his studies in the vibrant city of Chicago.

 Luan's journey to pursue a degree in Computer Information Systems at NLU was driven by a desire for further self-discovery and recognition of the importance of technology in shaping the future of business. "I desired further self-discovery and recognized the importance of technology in the future of business," Luan shares. With a background in Business and Management from the University of the West of England, Luan aimed to enhance her skills in technology to prepare for future business endeavors, focusing on Data Analysis and Web Development.

After extensive research and engagement with various universities in Chicago, NLU emerged as the perfect fit for Luan's educational and career goals. "NLU stood out as a welcoming environment that aligns with my career goals," Luan explains. As an international student, Luan found NLU to provide equal treatment and support, both academically and in daily life. The university's emphasis on providing valuable job and college experiences beyond the classroom setting further solidified Luan's decision to choose NLU.
