Faces of NLU: Ruthie Helmer
In an inspiring capstone project, one of our talented TL master's students took the initiative to create an "Educators Rising" group for her middle school, setting a pioneering example for younger students aspiring to become future teachers.
Typically a high school program with national and state chapters, she adapted and developed a unique curriculum specifically tailored for middle schoolers. Her innovative approach culminated in a student-led assembly that showcased their newfound skills and passion for education. The program received outstanding feedback from participants and left a lasting impact on the school community, capturing some wonderful moments along the way.
