Faces of NLU: Lizzette Salgado
In this week's Faces of NLU, hear from Lizzette Salgado. Lizette is a second-generation Eagle who found NLU after searching for the right place to earn her nursing degree. Watch her story in the video above or read the transcript below!
It took a while to find a nursing program–-I was a little lost at the beginning.
I went to community college first for an associate's in science, but I always knew I wanted to do nursing.
Eventually, nothing was fitting up to my standards. I couldn't find anything affordable, anything with a diverse population.
My aunt is actually an alumna from NLU, so I decided to look into NLU.
Once I realized they have a new nursing program, I got really excited, and I knew that this was the perfect option for me.
My name is Lizzette Salgado, and I am an NLU nursing student graduating this year.
