NCE Candid Conversation: The Impact of eLearning on Young Children and their Families
In this Candid Conversation webinar, Neal Green, NLU Assistant Professor and Early Childhood Education Online Coordinator moderates a group of Early Childhood experts, who share the challenges they faced in the pivot to remote teaching, reflect on their lessons learned, and discuss the ways remote learning impacts the young children they serve.

Speakers
Kimberlee Hendricks is an early childhood educator with over 25 years of combined experience in various roles. In addition to having taught both Preschool and Kindergarten, for 18+ years, Kimberlee has owned and operated an early learning center for children six weeks through six years old in Chicago's South Loop Community. She's also an Adjunct Lecturer at National Louis University and brings her unique perspective as a teacher, director, owner, entrepreneur, and education consultant to her courses and class discussions. A passionate educator, Kimberlee is known as the Play and Learn Leader, and she loves creating learning experiences for her students that are engaging, practical, thought-provoking, and fun!
Jolene Martin currently works as an Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Practice and Education at National Louis University. Jolene holds an MS in Early Childhood Administration, a BS in Information Systems, and a State of Illinois Infant-toddler Credential. Immersed in Early Childhood Education for over ten years, Jolene's passion and commitment to the field grows stronger every year. Throughout her career, Jolene has served in a variety of roles, including: college advisor; early childhood mentor/coach; assessor; professional development advisor/specialist; state-wide trainer; program director; infant-toddler teacher; and infant-toddler specialist. Over the years, Jolene has developed a deep love, focus, and niche for one of the most vulnerable age groups-- infants and toddlers. Jolene takes great joy in collaborating and engaging with students in the higher education community and providing them with an environment conducive to success.
Flor Roman currently works as a Director at Lakeside Learning Academy Inc. She is completing her final term at National Louis University to obtain a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Practice. Flor has been working with children for twenty-three years and is an avid member of her community. Her passion is to serve her community and leave a positive impact on any individual that she encounters. Flor will be starting her master's degree this fall at National Louis University. She looks forward to working closely with and expanding her knowledge alongside her program's instructors and peers.
