How to Implement the Teaching Equitable Asian American Community History (TEAACH) Act Now
In July 2021, Illinois became the first state to mandate the Teaching Equitable Asian American Community History (TEAACH) act. As a result of this momentous legislation, NCE has been working towards training candidates on how to properly design curricula to meet the requirements of showcasing Asian American history, to understand the intersections of BIPOC histories, and identify current contexts and problems in education as it relates to the centering of diverse narratives.
