NCE Celebrates its Advisory Council Groups

On June 21, NCE hosted members from the Teacher Prep Advisory Council and the Educational Leadership Advisory Council at the NLU’s Wheeling campus for a celebration. This event was the first of its kind, which aimed to bring together NCE faculty, staff, and the external voices from key partners in both Illinois and Florida, who support the work of the college by providing key insights and feedback. 

Both the former NCE Dean, Rob Muller, and NCE’s new Dean, Carolyn Theard-Griggs, provided welcome remarks. Stuart Carrier, Director of Educational Leadership Studies, and Lisa Mozer, Director, Field Experience & PK-12 Partnerships, expressed their gratitude to the advisory council members along with discussing the history and missions of each advisory group. 

This was an opportunity to thank our members and provide them the space to network with one another—a benefit enjoyed by all since meetings have been held virtually the last two years. Several members tuned in from NCE’s Florida campus for the welcome remarks via Zoom and had their own in-person celebration in Tampa as well. 

NCE appreciates the time and effort of the Advisory Council members in supporting the mission of NLU and NCE in preparing teachers and leaders for all learners.
