Teacher Preparation Advisory Board - Fall 2024 Meeting

The NLU Teacher Preparation Advisory Board 2024-2025 held its first meeting of the year on October 10, 2024. Below is a summary of key topics that were discussed:

• New Teacher Induction: Dr. Renee Gugel and Dr. Geri Chesner provided an overview of the NLU New Teacher Induction program to receive feedback.
• Examining Our Data for Feedback: Dr. Pam Jessee shared data from our MAT Student Teaching Competency Appraisals on three important topics: Creating Classroom Community & Classroom Procedures, Lesson Planning, and NCE Diversity Competencies.

Program chairs and faculty will be incorporating this valuable school partner feedback into their future teacher preparation coursework.
