TPAB Looks to Future of Teacher Education

The final NLU Teacher Preparation Advisory Board (TPAB) meeting for this academic year was held May 7, 2024. During the meeting, various topics were discussed including our forthcoming Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) accreditation cycle and the Advisory Board's vital role in this process.

Retiring Superintendents Dr. Kaine Osburn and Dr. Ken Wallace led a thought-provoking discussion about the past and current status of PK-12 education and future predictions to inform our strategic planning in teacher education. Topics ranged from teacher evaluation and retention to using Artificial Intelligence (AI) by teachers and students in the classroom.
