About the B.S. in Business Management
The B.S. in Business Management at National Louis University is designed for working adults who want to move forward in their careers — without putting their lives on hold. Powered by the Learn and Earn in Three (LE3) model, this degree allows you to earn your bachelor's while you work, building real skills, gaining real experience, and making immediate progress in your career. Students build a strong foundation in leadership and progress through applied business coursework in operations, finance, project management, strategic planning, and organizational performance — graduating prepared to lead teams, improve processes, and deliver measurable organizational value in as few as three years. This is not a traditional business degree. Your job becomes part of your learning, your assignments connect directly to your work, and your growth is measured through real-world impact. You don't just study business. You build it every day.
Program Highlights
Earn While You Learn The Learn and Earn in Three (LE3) model is built for working adults. Students remain employed full-time throughout the program, applying classroom learning directly in their workplace — so every course has immediate, real-world relevance.
Flexible Online Format Offered primarily online through a combination of asynchronous coursework and one to two synchronous sessions per week, giving students the structure of live instruction with the flexibility to balance work, life, and school.
Professional Skills Seminars A distinctive feature of the LE3 model, these seminars run throughout the program and integrate on-the-job reflection, coaching, mentorship, and portfolio-building — helping students document and demonstrate their growth as leaders.
Two Pathways to Fit Your Background Whether you're entering with limited college credit or bringing significant transfer credit with you, the program offers a standard and an Accelerated major to meet you where you are.
Leadership from Day One Students begin with a Leadership Foundations sequence in their very first quarter, building self-awareness, communication, and organizational skills that carry through every course in the program.
Optional Concentrations Students may pursue a concentration in Organizational Leadership & Development or Human Resource Management to deepen their expertise in a specialized area.
This program is ideal for first-time college students and returning adult learners who are currently employed full-time; professionals seeking to move into supervisory, management, or leadership roles; transfer students looking for a flexible, career-connected degree pathway; and employees across industries — including corporate business, healthcare, nonprofit, human resources, and operations — seeking career mobility.
Program Structure: 180 quarter hours, including 60 QH of General Education, 45 QH of Professional Seminars, 45 QH of Major Core coursework, and 30 QH of electives.
Two Majors Available:
- Business Management — for students entering with 30 or fewer quarter hours of transferable college credit
- Business Management (Accelerated) — for students entering with 31 to 115 quarter hours of transferable college credit
Full-time employment is required to participate in the Learn and Earn in Three (LE3) model. Students actively seeking employment with part-time status will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
