National Louis offers three room types at the University Center. Quad Semi Suites where two roommates share a bathroom with two suitemates. Semi-Private Suite where one resident shares a bathroom with a suitemate, and Apartments where four residents have private single rooms and share 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen.
We also offer one Full Year (FY) Apartment contract from June to June. The other contracts are for the Academic Year, which is September to June. Contracts are for either the Full Year or the Academic Year.
Once contracts are signed, students are financially responsible for the room they are assigned. Housing contracts are not canceled, and there are fees associated with any early move-outs. If you do not need housing from June to June or from September to June, but are only looking for housing for a shorter length of time, we are not able to accommodate. We only provide housing to NLU students who need housing for the Full Year or Academic Year.

*Charges are added to student accounts within the first 10 days of each quarter, regardless of the student's academic calendar (Quarter or Semester).
**The average monthly cost does not reflect the exact amount students pay monthly, but the estimated monthly cost compared to off-campus monthly rent. Students work with the Office of Student Finance on payment plans and financial aid options.

Meal Plans are for the entire Academic Year, and do not reset each quarter. Students with meal plans should keep track of their meal plan usage to ensure they understand their remaining meals and flex dollars. There are dates when Meal Plans are inactive and cannot be used in the UC Dining Center. Students should refer to the contract and the NLU Housing & Residence Life website to see the dates the UC Dining Center is closed and when Meal Plans are inactive. Inactive Meal Plan dates and Dining Center closure dates are usually between terms or holiday breaks. Students are responsible for paying for their meals if meals and flex are exhausted, the term is completed, or their meal plans are not active. |
