Acknowledgement Form for Field Experiences

Competency-Based Early Childhood Education Program

In supporting a teacher candidate enrolled in the Competency-Based ECE program at National
Louis University, I acknowledge the following:

1. The NLU student will have the opportunity to complete work in one or more of the following classrooms: Pre-K, Infant-Toddler, or K-2. If the student is working on additional endorsements, I recognize the following:
   • The student will need to be able to work with English Language Learning students (5 or more) if they are pursuing an ESL/Bilingual Endorsement.
   • The student will need to be able to work with children who have special needs (5 or more) if they are pursuing a Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) Endorsement.
2. If completing the ECE Licensure Learning Journey, the NLU student will have been employed at this site for 2+ years as of starting the student teaching requirement OR a teacher/director is on staff who holds the Level 5 ECE Gateways Credential or the Professional Educator License (PEL). Please provide proof of Level 5 Credential or IEIN below.
3. The employer has, on file, all of the necessary paperwork for the teacher candidate to be an employee, including a cleared criminal background check (CBC) result on file.
