Dr. Lukenchuk specializes in preparing teacher candidates to apply the knowledge of educational foundations and teacher inquiry to their professional practice. Dr. Lukenchuk brings a wealth of her expertise in paradigms of research and qualitative research methods to share with doctoral students pursuing degrees in curriculum, advocacy, and policy; disability and equity studies; reading and languages; and higher education leadership.

Areas of Expertise:
Dr. Lukenchuk has been pursuing research and scholarly interests in philosophy of education, paradigms of research, qualitative research methods, service-learning, online and blended education, and international and cross-cultural issues in higher education. Dr. Lukenchuk has been conducting workshops and seminars on the pedagogy of service-learning, paradigms of research, and qualitative research in several Midwestern Universities and internationally.
Biography:
Antonina Lukenchuk is an Associate Professor at National Louis University where she teaches graduate courses in educational foundations and research. Dr. Lukenchuk is a member of several professional organizations, an editor of “Inquiry in Education” (i.e.) journal, an on-staff reviewer of manuscript submissions in several higher education journals, and a passionate advocate of service-learning. Dr. Lukenchuk is a native of Ukraine where she completed BA and PhD programs in general and comparative linguistics and Germanic languages (English) and worked as a public school teacher of English as a foreign language. At her leisure, Antonina loves to traverse the waters of the Pacific Ocean, to listen to a symphony in Ravinia, to dance under the starts, or to have a picnic with friends. Antonina holds the 1st-degree black belt in kajukenbo martial arts.
