Biography:
My name is David J. Ross. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin from Montclair State University. I have earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling. I earned my Doctor of Philosophy degree in Organizational Psychology from Walden University. My dissertation title is titled “Effect of Political Skill on Perception of Organizational Politics and Work Withdrawal among Community College Employees.” I conducted a national survey on organizational politics where I studied the role of employee political skill on the impact of perception of organizational politics and work withdrawal behaviors among employees at various levels within the organization.
Currently, I live in Bradenton, Florida which is about an hour south of Tampa. Prior to NLU, I worked in higher education administration for 25 years. I have also served as a consultant and evaluator for companies that want to award college credit for training programs. I have served as a conference proposal reviewer for SIOP and have presented my research at national and regional conferences including the Eastern Psychological Association’s Annual Meeting. I am a current member of the American Psychological Association, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Society for the Teaching of Psychology. I also served as a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of College Student Retention and the Journal of Student Affairs.
