Biography:
Dr. Eric Thompson is an Associate Professor and doctoral-level educator with a dedicated focus on counselor education, clinical wellness, and multicultural development. He currently serves as a faculty member at National Louis University, where he leads curriculum development and course sequencing for a newly established counseling program. Previously, Dr. Thompson served as an Associate Professor in the College of Psychology at other private institutions. His clinical and scholarly expertise centers on trauma recovery, Wellness/Self-Care, mindful self-compassion, and multicultural competence in clinical practice.
An active researcher and author, Dr. Thompson has contributed extensively to academic literature, including foundational textbook chapters on quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, program evaluation, and clinical treatment approaches for peripartum depression. He is currently in the final stages of authoring a comprehensive, doctoral-level textbook for the counselor education field in Advanced Theories.
