Biography:
Dennis Tucker has extensive experience in business and marketing strategy, market communication planning and execution, market research and segmentation, project management, business and service line development, and operations improvement. His career accomplishments include: formulating profitable growth strategies for new physician services, and developing joint ventures in the health care delivery and managed care markets through team and business unit planning and implementation.
Dennis Tucker has over sixteen years of classroom experience teaching business policy and strategic management, strategic marketing, business communications, and management information systems at the university graduate and undergraduate levels. He utilizes more than twenty-six years of marketing and managerial experience in non-profit and for-profit service industries as a base of instruction. His goal is to position students as problem solvers and decision-makers with him serving as facilitator and evaluator. He uses case analyses, computer simulations, and WEB discussion boards (BLACKBOARD & D2L) to enhance lectures and class discussions

TEACHING INTEREST / PHILOSOPHY
- Passion teaching business strategy and marketing to position students as problem solvers and decision-makers for career enhancement while serving as facilitator and evaluator.
- Having the most fun when seeing student teams overcome hurdles and roadblocks to create a fine-tuned team to identify and solve business simulation problems while enhancing critical thinking skills and fulfilling self-directed significant learning experiences.

Awards
- Master Professor: 5-time induction as Master Professor Status by the Glo-Bus/University of Alabama’s BSG-online computer-based strategy simulation by having five winning Grand Champion teams in the Best-Strategy Invitational competition from April 2006 to January 2017. Universities use the global footwear industry simulation as part of the graduate and undergraduate capstone course in strategic management to create significant real-world learning experiences for students.
