Tutoring Partnerships
NCE is partnering with several tutoring services focusing on early literacy and math skills. These volunteer and paid opportunities are open to all NLU candidates, providing valuable experience teaching young children.
Reading Power, Inc
- Locations in select Early Childhood Centers and schools in North Chicago, Palatine, Waukegan, Wheeling, and Zion
- Pre-kindergarten through second-grade in-person literacy tutoring.
- One day a week for 3 hours during the school day for 20 weeks

- Tutoring during the school day and flexible hours. 10 hours per week.
- Fully virtual in several states. All tutoring is conducted online.

- Summer tutoring only.
- Four days a week, 7:30-12:00.
