Employment Opportunities
National Louis University helps prepare international students for rewarding careers with student employment opportunities, industry-specific internships, OPT, and professional development.
Student Employment: As an international student with an F-1 student visa, you will have the opportunity to apply for student employment on campus, where you can work up to 20 hours per week during your studies. After you are enrolled, you can search for student employment opportunities by selecting the ‘Students’ tab on our jobs website.
Graduate Assistantship Program: Graduate and doctoral students also have the opportunity to apply for our Graduate Assistantship Program, where you can work and study on campus at the same time. Benefits include: competitive pay rates (earn up to $18 per hour to be applied as a tuition credit); convenient locations on-campus at one of our many campuses; development of marketable skills; flexible work schedules to accommodate student class schedules; and hands-on work experience to enhance your professional resume!
Internships: Undergraduate students will also complete at least one industry-specific internship, where you will gain valuable real-world experience.
Further Professional Experience Opportunities: After graduation, you will be eligible for 1 year of OPT, which allows you to live and work full-time in the US for up to 1 year without having to change your F-1 visa status.
