Payment Requirements for International Students
This overview will provide you with general information about payment plans available to help you in reaching your educational goals. Completion of a Promissory Note is required for all options.
- Please read and complete the Promissory Note upon registration of your first term courses. NLU payment plans are calculated on a term basis.
- There is only one option available to pay tuition – Term by Term.
TERM BY TERM TUITION PAYMENT
Payment of a term's tuition/fees/room and board and other charges are made by the first day of the term.
Please see how to view and pay your bill online here: How to View/Pay Your Bill Online.
Important Items to know for International Students
- Failure to make a term by term payment or establish a deferred tuition payment plan by the first day of the term can result in your courses being administratively dropped.
- If an F-1 or J-1 student is dropped from classes due to non-payment, they risk SEVIS termination of their I-20 record.
- Account balances must be paid in full by the end of the term to allow for next term registration.
- Common recurring term by term charges are Tuition, Student Fees, U-Pass, Health Insurance and Housing. Please review all fees and courseware fees that might be applicable to your course of study here: NLU Tuition and Fees and please review student insurance options here: NLU Student Insurance.
- Please contact NLU's Office of Student Finance for all payment questions here: NLU Office of Student Finance.
