Biography:
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, and while I’ve travelled to many places, the Chicago suburbs have always been home. Professionally, I have years of experience in healthcare administration in a medical group setting. I was always fascinated by how my employees grew and developed, and how I could help encourage that growth. That same fascination drew to me teaching. Academically, I am currently working on my dissertation at A.T. Still University, where my research focuses on comprehensive succession planning in medical groups.
Education:
- Doctor of Healthcare Administration Candidate, A.T. Still University
- MBA in Healthcare Administration, South University
- BS in Health Care Management, South University
Research and Interests:
My research currently focuses on how succession planning and leadership development effect medical group management. This interest in leadership development dovetails with my interests as an educator; I believe every student has great potential for learning and growth. As a teacher, it’s my job to help students connect what we study to life outside the classroom – these connections are the heart of the learning experience. While we learn in a classroom, what we learn goes far beyond the classroom. I truly believe that education transforms life experiences.
