Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence

The Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence sponsors a variety of activities that promote inquiry, reflection, and analysis of teaching and its impact on student learning in NLU courses and programs. In collaboration with other NLU departments the CTLE endeavors to identify specific needs and to design/promote opportunities for faculty learning and continuous growth.

• Foster faculty learning by sharing resources, tools, and research on effective instructional practices, technology use, and assessment.
• Promote high-quality teaching by providing opportunities for faculty to represent effective high impact instructional practices that they have tested and perfected at NLU.
• Support the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) through engaged and collaborative inquiry into effective teaching and powerful learning at NLU.
