Share your expertise with colleagues through the February Faculty Forums

CTLE sponsors a series of faculty facilitated discussion forums that focus on high leverage core post-secondary teaching practices, examples include effective discussion facilitation, teamwork, and formative assessment. Faculty are invited as individuals or teams to facilitate a forum on a specific core teaching practice, including insights gained on student thinking and learning through the practice. Each week of February focuses on a different core practice and involves multiple discussion forums.

The Purposes/Intended Outcomes of the Faculty February Forums are to:

  1. Represent and analyze core teaching practices at NLU for their impact on student learning
  2. Construct guiding principles to help ensure student learning through core teaching practices
  3. Examine methods of gathering and interpreting evidence of student thinking/learning in the context of core teaching practice
