Biography:

It seems as though I have always been interested in educating, teaching, and leading others. I have experienced two remarkable careers during my lifetime-retail management and education. 25+ years of teaching adult learners in associate, bachelor, and graduate-level classes with over 17 years as on-ground/online instructor.

Previously I was Director of Career Services for several colleges as well as a professor. I earned an associate’s degree in Sociology, a bachelor’s degree in Sociology/U.S. History (secondary education,) and a master’s degree in human resources management. I hold certifications as PHR and SHRM-CP and am a member of the local HR Association as well as the Society for Human Resource Management. (SHRM)

One of my most memorable experience was with a college where I was Director of Career Services. One reason it was exciting is that I was tasked to establish the Veterinary Technology program at the campus, which was highly successful. In fact, my two cats Abby and Jiggs (male) adopted me here! 

My belief about higher education is that it affords vast opportunities for everyone who desires to learn and helps you to reach your highest potential!
