Biography: HR professional with over 20 years of experience in increasing levels of responsibility and scope across industries. Attributes the ease in going across specialties and industries to her adaptability, flexibility and eagerness to learn. As a HR leader, Carlissa provides foresight and direction wherever she works, and the list includes some of the best Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit organizations. She believes in offering industry best practice approach and win-win solutions to solve people-related business challenges.
This lifelong learner currently provides online college-level instruction using ANGEL, WIMBA, Blackboard and Adobe Connect platforms, and is an HR practitioner at one of the largest social justice organizations.

Teaching Philosophy: Developed over a couple of decades and still evolving, my philosophy is to create an engaging and nurturing environment that offers a place for information sharing, growth, and challenge. A learning community where connections and bonds are made, there is an openness to share experiences, and there is safety in taking risks and daring to offer new perspectives. I believe that my role as an instructor goes beyond knowledge sharing to creating a space for learning and development.
