The College of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences at National Louis University offers a variety of degree programs in behavioral science, counseling, and psychology. These programs span the different degree levels: bachelor’s, master’s, education specialist (Ed.S.), and doctoral (Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D.). The college houses The Illinois School of Professional Psychology (ISPP) in Chicago and the Florida School of Professional Psychology (FSPP) at NLU's Florida Campus in Tampa.

The Illinois School of Professional Psychology (ISPP) is the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. It is the first Psy. D. program in the Midwest. Over 1,800 graduates have received their degrees from ISPP alumni. The Florida School of Professional Psychology (FSPP) is the counterpart program at NLU's Florida Campus in Tampa. FSPP offers some similar programs and others that are unique to the campus in Florida.

NLU offers two Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs in various formats to prepare students to become Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). The courses of study include assessment, behavior change techniques, program design, implementation, and staff management, as well as ethical considerations and research methods.

Many programs are blended, but we also deliver classes in 100% online real-time virtual formats, while other programs are offered 100% online.

No GRE Scores Required. 

The Ph.D. program focuses on both research and practice, with an emphasis on effecting change in communities and organizations. Students in the program will learn about research methods, grant writing, program evaluation, as well as about advocacy, and how to work within systems to create change. Students can be trained to be educators, researchers, or policy developers.

NLU has campuses in Illinois and Florida where you can attend classes. Some of our programs are only offered in blended, real-time virtual, and online formats. The Psy.D., Virtual Classroom M.S. in Counseling, and Ed.D. are examples of programs that are offered in different formats. Please check with Enrollment Specialists for specific program information.
