National Louis University supports the education of military and veteran students. Our institution has a staff member who specializes in the needs of our military and veteran students and is also home to a Student Veterans of America chapter on campus. This chapter provides a network of support, guidance, and professional development for our student veteran population. National Louis University also participates in the major federal veterans education benefit programs.
National Louis University is a participating institution in the Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits. Many National Louis University students are able to complete their degree program with little to no debt.
National Louis University is a Yellow Ribbon school. In addition to the benefits that veterans receive through the Post-9/11 GI Bill, National Louis University can provide additional support to help offset the cost of tuition and fees. There is no application fee for veterans or military applicants.
National Louis University provides scholarships for military students, such as the Community Heroes Scholarship, which can reduce tuition for active-duty service members, honorably discharged veterans, and sometimes spouses or dependents. You can usually combine this with the GI Bill benefit.
National Louis University can award college credit for your military training and experience, in accordance with ACE guidelines. You can also get credit through Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) or CLEP exams. The Work Integrated Program also offers credit for Active Duty Military members.
Military-connected students can receive a need-based book voucher.
To start using your education benefits, contact the veterans and military support staff at National Louis University. In addition, you should work with your assigned National Louis University Enrollment Specialist as well as your assigned National Louis University Student Finance Officer. They will help to determine benefits, eligibility, and costs.
