Biography: 

Previous work experience includes Assistant Dean for the National Louis College of Management and Business; business consulting in areas of marketing and quality assurance; founding and managing a real estate brokerage firm; managing sales for a family manufacturing firm; and industrial engineering for a large manufacturing firm in the machine tool and computer industry.

Ph.D. in Economics, University of Illinois at Chicago. 2004. Concentrations in Environmental and International Economics. Dissertation: Air Pollution and Hospital Admissions in Cook County – An Economic Damage Function. Master of Business Administration, Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa (IESE), Universidad de Navarra, Barcelona, Spain, 1987. (During second year of studies participated in student exchange program with London Business School, London, England). B.S. Industrial Engineering, University of Toledo (Ohio), 1968.

Research and Interests: 

Current research interests include environmental and sustainable economics teaching effectiveness in the online environment and entrepreneurial businesses.
