Areas of Expertise:
At National Louis University (NLU), and at other colleges Dr. Sherman is teaching various Math courses to undergraduate and graduate students, including Algebra, Finite Math, Statistics, Foundations of Managerial Mathematics, etc. Dr. Sherman has over thirty five years of teaching, consulting and project management experience in higher education, information technology and financial services. Effective communicator and motivator, he is able to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely to people from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
Biography:
Dr. Sherman spent most of his career serving as a Management Consultant to clients on various aspects of financial services, technology and operations. He consulted and managed teams of professionals in such areas as Enterprise Procurement, eProcurement, Strategic Sourcing and Outsourcing, Spend Management and Compliance, Project Planning and Management, Systems Development and Implementation, Business Process Analysis, Cost/Benefit Analysis, Vendor Evaluation and Selection.
Since 2010 Dr. Sherman has been teaching Math at various colleges in the Chicago Metro area.

Research and Interests:
Dr. Sherman’s interests lie in the fields of Functional Analysis, Statistics and Physics.
Teaching Philosophy: education is essential to every person’s success in life, and Math is one of its most important and basic components. A good Instructor needs to have the ability to clearly explain his subject to students and make them feel his passion for it, understand and appreciate students' different backgrounds, have lots of patience and desire to help each student to succeed, be fair.
