Biography:
Darryl Stroud has served as a consultant to the US. Security Exchange Commission, Illinois Department of Corrections, and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. He has performed adjunct services to; Northwestern University taught leadership and Ethics, he has served as an instructor and/or consultant/contractor with the US Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, Federal Reserve Bank-Illinois, The Police Training Institute, North East Multi-Training Region (MTU#3), The Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board, The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations, Illinois Conceal Carry (IROCC, IPAK, and ISP CCW), and he has taught firearms and Rapid Deployment, Human Trafficking, Risks Behavioral interviews independently to multiple social services and police departments across the State of Illinois.
Darryl Stroud is the former Chief of Police – University Park Police Department, former Deputy Chief of Police – Phoenix Police Department, former Chief of Police – Chicago Heights Park District Police Department, and Acting Chief of Police – Opa-Locka Police Department.
His main discipline is packaged in combat firearms, ground fighting defense, weapon retention, use of force and close quarter’s combat and first responder’s tactics. Dr. Stroud is a subject matter expert, national speaker National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA), Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), and has been acknowledged in the following areas: graduate firearms instructor from the D.O.J., F.B.I., D.E.A., N.R.A., PriSim, and an expert Master Firearms Instructor.
He is a graduate of; the JKF School of Business of Harvard University, the St. Thomas University School of Law, FL, LL.M./J.S.D. Program in Intercultural Human Rights, and a graduate of the School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC) of Northwestern University. He has the distinguished recognition of being one of the few law enforcement trainers in the Country to attend these prestigiously recognized combined academic programs.
Finally, Darryl Stroud diversified experience also includes former Chairman – Aunt Martha’s Health & Wellness, President for the Police Training Institute (PTI) Alumni (U of I – Champaign), and he has been also appointed by the Governor to the Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards board. And most recently, he has been in doctrine into the National Law Enforcement Hall of Fame.
