Biography:
Laurie Siegel Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with over 20 years of experience. In addition, she is a Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC) and a Mental Illness and Substance Abuse Counselor (MISAII). She holds a Master’s degree in Community Counseling, a Master’s degree in School Leadership (type 75 certificate) and a School Counseling certificate (type 73 certificate).
Laurie is also a trained Life Coach. Laurie’s areas of specialty include addictions, anxiety, depression, and family systems. She is extremely skilled working with the following population(s); individual, children, adolescents, family and couple counseling. She believes in tailoring treatment based on individual needs. She uses a variety of clinical formats including, talk, play and group therapy.
Laurie is known for her engaging personal style and her holistic approach to therapy. She works on building a balanced lifestyle which leads to emotional wellness. She also utilizes relaxation training and cognitive behavioral treatment of depression and anxiety disorders, as well as variety of stress related disorders She is a member of the Illinois Schools Counseling Association (ISCA), Illinois Counseling Association as well as the American Counseling Association.

Research and Interests:
As a Doctoral student in Counseling Education and Supervision, I am focuing my research and work on a project that examines the wellness of students(counselors in training) that are currently enrolled in our ommunity as well as our school counseling program tracts.
