Biography:
Currently, I am serving as the President/CEO of the Central College - Houston Community College System (HCCS). I began my tenure at HCCS on February 1, 2017, after serving in the capacity of interim college president, provost and the vice president of academics and student development at Morton College, a comprehensive community college in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. Prior to Morton College, I served five years at City Colleges of Chicago as the Executive Director of Manufacturing and Skills Programs. Prior to higher education, I worked in corporate sector for almost 15 years. During this period, I assumed multiple organizational roles and successfully oversaw the completion of multimillion-dollar projects in countries around the globe. I have been involved in training and development of adult learners, in formal and informal settings, for the last 15 years, both in corporate as well as higher education sector, and currently serving the board of Association of Talent Development (ATD) Houston Chapter. I have a passion for teaching and that keeps me active in teaching assignment throughout the year.

Research and Interests:
My recent scholarly and research activities have focused on food insecurity among college students and its impact on academic performance. I am also revising my dissertation for publication (Adjunct faculty evaluation at public community colleges: A precursor of organizational learning). I regularly present at national and international conferences on contemporary challenges facing American higher education.
